Hacking as usual xD

It's been ages since i've updated you on Bowie girlie. So, we've been on a lot of hacks these past few weeks. Went with Josie and Odo which was great fun - As i decided to let Josie lead the way on a different root xD Bow got a bit spooky for some strange reason, it might have been the fact we were somewhere different but i wish she would behave, especially when we almost landed straight into a deep ditch :O silly marey got spooked by something in the woods therefore dived to the right and was forced to stop in her tracks haha at least somebody was on the ball that day xD

Anyways slightly pissed off because i was hoping to go riding twice this weekend but silly marey decided to loose one of her shoes :( so no more riding for the week, but i've decided to pay her a visit on Saturday for a pamper haha x

A little adventure :)

After another insident with the moody mare, we both went on a little adventure with Charlotte and her spooky horse, Jacob.

We wanted to explore different hacking roots around Hadham mill - not the brightest of ideas!

At first Jacob made sure that Charlotte couldn't get near to any of the gates; resulting in me jumping down from Bow to open it (Bow is suprising great at standing there by the gate, but then again she did have a pile of grass in her gob!) Anyhow, after a few squabbles between Bow and Jacob, again suprising they were well behaved.

Until we got to the cantering stage!

Bow being the carm, relaxed pony we decided to let her go behind Jacob (as he tends to get excited and spooky xD)

So typically Bow gallops off! Resulting in Jacob spooking, and a head to head battle to the finish line - the fence!

But nobody was harmed and we both decided to turn around for another go xD

Jumping time.

As i so stupidly couldn't find the keys to unlock the gate, Bow and i were forced to ride around the field :( not exactly appropiate as Bow wasn't being her usual self - hyper! OMG what! Bow hyper <:O stand back in amasement :P

Well, i think it's all got to do with not being riden for a couple of weeks, and the fact that Sparkie was going completely crazy when we left him in the field on his lazz xD So, eventually; after battling with a very moody mare, we managed to start actually riding :O

The problem is that the field is just too muddy to canter :( but i braved it and decided to trot over a couple of cross poles xD and that was our jumping for the day haha not exactly pro-standard but we both enjoyed ourselves :)

But can you believe it! Bow acted like she just had a long work out xD silly mare.

Anyways, going for a long hack next week with Charlotte :) considering we didn't ride very much saturday xD

Well, at the moment my parents believe that i spend far to much time horse riding at the weekends! So, they decided that i can't go and see Bow on Sunday! I think it was totally unfair, especially since i don't exactly own her, therefore can only visit her once a week :( Therefore, there is unfortunately no update on the pritty mare and i just hope that she didn't miss me too much xD but on the plus side of things, i can see her on Saturday now :O I hope it'll snow, or at least doesn't rain! I'm getting a little bored of the typical english weather now :(

A day at the yard :)

I haven't had much of a chance to write anything on here for a while now; but lets get everyone updated!

Saturday was the only chance i could get to ride this week; and thankfully Josie gave me a lift to hadham mill xD we spend the entire day messing around and finding different ways to amuse ourselves with. First we decided to (along with Grace) have a treck up the river. It didn't go to plan - as i had very short wellies on xD and therefore got just a little bit wet xD and to add to the matter it was freezing - so we spent the rest of the day nice and warm in the tack room :P

But lets get to the riding aspect of the day.

Josie was very kind to let me and Grace have a ride on fatty :D but decided that we can only ride bareback :O - sense the danger here! As of cause i'm a bit of an idiot and almost fell of 5 times xD but other than that it was great fun - especially when i forced Grace to sit on the back, then made fatty canter xD poor fatty :P

Then, Claire let us exercise Hoshi :D i haven't riden the mare in a long while so we all had great fun. Plus Hoshi was excilent, jumping quite high considering she doesn't jump that often now :)

Overall it was an amusing day - can't wait for the next treacherous trech up river xD

Will it ever stop!

Again i was really irritated when it started raining when i went to see Bow - typical English weather. :(

I was hopeing to explore different hacking roots but ended up going on a half hour hack :( but on the brighter side Bow was full of herself xD i dunno if she sensed my hyperness from the day before but she was raring to go ~:O we managed to not walk for most of the hack; i was concentrating on not letting her get cold but we cantering most of the way xD must be her change in feed.

Anyways, i've noticed that i enjoy grooming and looking after horses rather than riding them ~:O it's quite amazing for me really. But maybe it's got to do with hardly any jumping recently :( On another disapointing note, i can't go and see my baby next sunday :( gotta do some christmas shopping etc. Will miss the girlie :(

Random Hyperness ~:O

Well today in the horse riding world me and Josie went down hadham mill stables to see fatty. It was such a laugh. I played on the swing rope, then i climed a tree and almost fell off :P we started doing some random dance moves xD then played a little bit of chase me charlie - but on foot xD

So for the actually riding side of things.

Josie decided to ride fatty in his new and improved red bridle #:O then i bulit a two jump course xD and Josie finished off the day by jumping the fatster over a 4ft2 jump #:O they were both again so amazing for a fat little thing xD also when Josie and i measured the jump we realised that i had also jumped that high on Otis on thursday ~:O now i was shocked :P so thats all folks, dunno what me and Bowie are going to get up to tomorrow though - maybe another hack xD

Chase Me Charlie

Went for our hour lesson yesterday with Grace and Josie. :D

It was amazing, i got to ride my little Oatabix for the first time in ages so i was a very happy girlie. At the beginning we all warmed the horses up - and almost had a pile up teehee. :P Then we started the jumping of by going over a little bounce jump xD Was very entertaining as Fatty and Otis casually jumped it whilst Archie being his normal old self zooooomed over them :P

Now for the fun part - Chase Me Charlie.

I have never actually played chase me charlie but it was so fun. :D We all started of going over a little jump then as they got bigger, people got nocked out teehee. Josie was the first to go (but we all now that Josie and fatty can get over mega jumps anyways xD) Then i believe the jump went up to around 4ft (not sure exactly). So Grace and Archie refuses, and me being my normal crazy self decided to give it a go, :P At first i thought Otis was about to refuse, but amazingly he manged to jump it. :O I was so pleased with him - So now thats my new record xD welldone my little Oatabix. :)

Moving Stable.

Went to see Bow again today.

After a dry week i was hopeing to do a little bit of jumping, but how typical - it started to rain when we arrived! So, jumping was a no no. But i found out some exciting news. Bow and Sparkie are moving stables :D it is a fancy little place not far from were they are now. So most of the day i spent moving some of there things; i think they really enjoyed moving. :)

Well onto riding. Because it was raining so much, we decided to go for another hack - but we got just a little bit wet! For an hour and a half we trecked through fields, and i think we were both glad to get back to the nice cleaner stables :P

Fatty Fater Fat Fats.

So, went horse riding with Josie and Odo today :D

At first i decided to vault onto Odo's back. After being defeated with Bow almost biting me, i was all too aware that Odo might do the same. Afterall they are both quite similar: Both fat, can go really fast (when they want too) and can jump amazing heights (for being fat little things :P) But, i managed to do it! All on camera as well so look out on youtube :D

So let the jumping begin...

I was so proud of Odo today, not only did he jump up to 3ft4 but with me on his back :O now thats quite and acheivement :P then i let Josie show me how it's done :D she was once again amazing, but seeing as she has jumped Odo over 4ft i'm sure these jumps were nothing xD

Goodboy fats, Now lets see if one day i can jump the same height on Bowie :P

Too muddy!

Went to see the fats today expecting to do a little bit of jumping. (The last time i jumped it was before my holiday so i was pritty desperate to get going)!

But, unfortunately the field was extreamly muddy!

I decided to instead go for another hack over to cow fields. Thankfully because it is now winter all the cows are away so Bow doesn't get freaked out by them :) silly ponio. Went for a couple of gallops (had completely no brakes what so ever)! Siriously, she may be a fat little thing but she can shift.

I've decided that unless we get a dry spout, for the winter i'm not going to do any jumping (or dressage movements for that matter), it's simply too muddy. Oh and i thought it was soooo cute today, that after our ride, Bow neighed at me before we left. I hope we're getting closer now as i'm not making her jump at the moment; and because i'm the only one that gives her treats :P shhhh x

Woop woop. Going riding with Josie and Fatty on Thursday which will be quite a laugh seeing as i have not been riding with my mates for quite a while :( also having an hours lesson with Grace and Josie on the 20th, looking at my videos on youtube i've realised that i desperatly need a lesson :S i'm falling into some terrible habbits but it'll also be great to ride some different horses :) miss riding at my yard now :( as i loan Bow i don't get to ride down there that often :(

Happy Hackers

Went for a little hack today with Bow. At first i attempted to vault onto her back whilst she was eating - not my brightest idea! I was too much aware that her teeth were edging nearer towards me, so i didn't manage to get up. I did get some great footage and commentary by my dad. He said, "Don't worry she won't bite you, she's just seeing what your doing!" How wrong my dad can be sometimes lol anyhow went for a small hack down 'black track' as we haven't been down there for a while. I managed to hold the camera whilst cantering along (theres a first time for everything) until Bow swerved right, down into this little pathway. I was too aware that there was a lake a few meters away so quickly grabbed what was left of my reins to stop her :P all in all she was a great girlie that day. Also, she has a very pritty clip for the winter :D great news as normally she gets too hot and sweaty afterwards :(
